Our Story
Where It Started
It started with two words from my son: F@@K AI.
Not a hot take. Not a meme. A conviction. He watched artists he admired get their work scraped, replicated, and devalued by machines trained on stolen creativity. And he said what a lot of people were thinking but nobody was wearing.
That conviction sparked ShriekAi.
The Mission
We’re not anti-technology. We’re anti-exploitation. AI has real merits and real pitfalls — and the conversation deserves more than blind hype or blind fear.
ShriekAi exists to open that dialog. To prepare people to use the good and proclaim the bad. AI has a strong voice — we give the other side a voice too. Fight fire with fire.
!Ai means not Ai
In code, ! means “not.” When you see !Ai, it reads as “Not Ai.” It’s a declaration: human-made, human-driven, human-first.
And the name? Old-school typesetters called the ! symbol a “shriek” long before computers existed. ShriekAi — the brand name itself is a nod to the humans who came first.
Every design we sell stands for protecting human artists from AI exploitation. We use AI as a tool — but the creativity starts and ends with people.

Every piece is printed on demand — zero waste, zero overstock. Our manufacturing partners are UN Global Compact signatories and EcoVadis certified. We believe in making a statement without making a mess.

We practice what we preach — so here’s the whole truth about how this brand was made.
Our two flagship marks — !ai and the anarchy A — started as hand drawings. Stylus on a Samsung S23 Ultra, sketched in Samsung Notes. No AI image generators. No scraped artwork. Just a human hand and a glass screen.
Other designs in the collection were created through different combinations of handwork — some drawn start to finish, some crafted by typing the brushstrokes: a human directing every detail through code and prompt. Every single piece can be attributed to humans.
We plan to feature more artists here, and any contributed work will be profit-shared directly to the artist. When you buy here, you’re supporting humans, not algorithms.

Here is the backstory: Ever clicked on an interesting video only to find out it was either made or narrated by AI? And doesn’t that piss you off?
I’ve been excited about Ai and when I went to have a conversation with my son about it he was absolutely uninterested.

From there, a senior software engineer (that’s me) used AI to write the code and scripts that cleaned up, transformed, and prepared those hand-drawn designs for print. AI didn’t create the art — it helped me build the tools to refine it. The skill was in knowing what to ask for and how to wield it.
This entire website — including the page you’re reading right now — was built the same way: human vision, AI-assisted code. No artist was exploited. No work was scraped. If things look a little off, that’s why. And that’s the point.
We believe this is what good AI use looks like: a human artist using a powerful tool to amplify their own creativity — not replace someone else’s.
